Lianrui Jia is a research assistant for Canadian Spectrum Policy Research (CSPR). She is pursuing her doctoral studies in Communication and Culture at York University in Toronto. Her research looks at how political and economic forces interplay and interact in shaping the telecommunication, Internet, and ICT regulation in post-WTO China. She received her B.A and M.A in Communication Studies from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Prior to joining the CSPR term, she has worked for the Canadian Media Concentration Research Project.
